I am trying to transfer my domain from Squarespace onto Shopify, I have the transfer authorization code. After I enter the code it takes me to the Transfer Domain page, where at the top I see a yellow triangle saying “Add a valid payment Method”. I have 2 payment methods and even tried to enter a “manual payment method” as suggested by the support robot. I click Open Billing settings below the triangle and it reroutes me to a page called “add address”. Below “add address” it says, Address- You’ve added an address. Below that is my Shopify subscriptions. When I click the actual billing page both of my payment methods show up. This is a very frustrating issue, and would appreciate someone to help, thanks!
Hi @FoldFury ,
Welcome to the Shopify Community! I’m sorry to hear about this issue with your domain.
To resolve the issue with adding a payment method on file, please make sure that the payment method meets the following criteria:
- It should be a valid credit card from Mastercard, Visa, or American Express.
- Alternatively, it can be a debit card that is co-branded with Mastercard, Visa, or American Express.
Additionally, please check that the name entered in the domain purchase window matches the name listed on the payment method in your Settings > Billing section of the admin.
If all the above information is correct, and you’re still experiencing difficulties, I recommend creating a support request via the Shopify Help Center. This will ensure that your account is safely authenticated through the Help Center, allowing a member of our team to securely access your account and investigate the issue further.
I’m having the same issue and it still not working I verified the names were the same too.
