A user is attempting to translate the “Sale” badge from English to Italian in Shopify’s Dawn theme.
The translation successfully applies to product pages after modifying the default theme content, but the badge remains in English on category/collection grid pages. The user has verified there are no untranslated “SALE” instances in the theme translation settings.
Initially suspected to be caused by the Sami Product Labels & Badges app, the app developer confirmed no interference from their side—the issue originates from the theme itself.
Current status: The problem remains unresolved. The user needs to identify where the category grid badge text is sourced from within the Dawn theme, as standard translation methods aren’t affecting it. Screenshots show the discrepancy between the translated product page badge and the English category grid badge.

I’m using the Dawn theme, and I want to translate the “Sale” badge into Italian. I followed several guides and modified the default theme translations in Edit default theme content, but the change only applies to the product page.
In the category grid, the badge still appears in English. I couldn’t find a way to modify it.
Does anyone know how to change the text for the category grid badge as well?

@PatrizaS you can check the Default Theme Content for “Sale” and replace it.

Thanks for your response! I actually already did that, and the translation works on the product page, but the badge in the category grid still shows “SALE” instead of the translated version.
Maybe I’m missing something? I searched for “SALE” in the theme translations, but I can’t find anything untranslated.
Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong? Thanks in advance! 
@PatrizaS when scrolling down, you can see how the Italian wording is being switched with “Sale”.
Are you using any Apps that add Badges (e.g. Sami Product Labels & Badges)?
You might have to check the wording in the app.
Yes, I checked, and there are no other occurrences of “SALE” that are not translated.

I contacted the developer, and they checked the site. There is no interference or any similar label from the app—it depends on the theme.
