Translation of the global market language in Translate & Adapt

Hello,

I have started a new store.

I picked the Dawn theme and want it to be in the Latvian language.

But the problem is that the Latvian language is not supported by the dawn theme, so I need to translate the store myself.

As I changed the store to the Latvian language and go into the translate & adapt app there is no way of changing the translation for the (global) market.

As I would like to have 2 markets (Latvian and International) I want to be able to change the (global) translation and not have to translate the store in Latvian Market and then go into International market and translate everything all over again.

How can I change the translation on the Latvian (Global) as it is greyed out and I see no way of changing it in the app?

Hi @DEksperti , the content on the left is your default content. So it’s, for example, how you’ve added a product in admin. To change default content, click the title and modify it in admin. You can’t modify your default language content in Translate & Adapt.

The screenshot you’ve shared is adapting content for a market, which you’re not going to want to for Latvian as only Latvia speaks Latvian. This is used for, for example, English spelling - color in the USA and colour in the UK.

Broadly your life will be easier if you use one of the supported languages here as your store default language (in Admin > Settings > Languages) as you get full theme and checkout support and don’t have to add theme content yourself.
