We have been on SHopify POS since Ocotber 2023. Since then, we have obtained over 4,800 customers with no information. This feature for our particular retail setting is completely invaluable and at what point will the customer “cap off?” We are looking to launch our Shopify ecomm in the next few months and worry about importing existing online customers and mixing in with unusable and worthless customer data that grows every single day. When will it max out?! There has got to be a POS feature to TURN OFF customers for Point of Sale!!!

There is no cap-off of customer accounts that you are able to manage in your store admin. Each customer checking out has a profile created within the admin, this this expected behavior. We don’t have the ability to turn off customer accounts in Shopify POS, but if you do not add any contact details then no customer profile would be created for POS orders.
