Upcoming Stripe gateway with Subscriptions in countries without Stripe support

Hi!

We are responsible for 3 webshops, hosted in the US, in Germany and in Switzerland.

Speaking from what I have learned, using Shopify (or Shopify Plus), we are not able to use Stripe (with our own Stripe accounts and their conditions) as payment gateway for the webshops from US and DE. But we would be able to use Shopify Subscriptions using Shopify Payments or PayPal. As Shopify Payments is not available in CH right now, we can use Stripe as a third party payment gateway, but we are not able to use Shopify Subscriptions.

How will this change with the upcoming Stripe gateway for subscriptions? Will we be able to use our Stripe accounts for all three webshops or will the Stripe gateway only be useable in countries without Shopify Payments? Will the Stripe gateway only be useable with our subscription products, or will it be usable across all products and checkouts?

We plan to add subscriptions support to the existing Stripe payment gateway integration.

All other existing limitations with Stripe on Shopify would still apply (ie, countries that can use Stripe on Shopify)

Will the Stripe gateway only be useable with our subscription products, or will it be usable across all products and checkouts?

It will support all products including subscriptions.

If you Incorporate your company in the UK you can use Stripe from any country in the world as you would be able to open a Stripe account with your UK Company. One Company that helps founds from all over the world to Incorporate in the UK and also provide assistance with Payment gateway is Incorpuk.

You can Incorporate your company in the UK with https://Incorpuk.com and you would be able to gain access to Stripe or Shopify payments which ever one you prefer.

Will Stripe integration support other methods than credit card (like local payment method Bancontact in Belgium) ?

Shopify Payment supports Bancontact but not with Subscription product.
