hi do you mind if I ask if this only happens when you are using Shop payments? I currently have Stripe, but am unable to sell on social media or tag products unless I switch to shop pay. but after reading this, it seems like a nightmare!

hi is this happening only with shop payments and not third party processors?

I was considering switching from stripe to shop pay, but they have told me my products are illegal and i would have to take them off the store to activate shop pay. this is BS, considering the manufacturer we purchase these exact products from are selling with shop pay. Not having shop pay prohibits you from selling and tagging products on social media, but now reading all of this, I dont know if it is worth it to switch to shop pay

I spoke to a friend who is a legal investigative journalist at Le Monde, and he asked me to send him the email from Shopify and the documents I provided to them to launch an investigation into the matter and check the compliance of Shopify’s actions with French law. Additionally, he needs more French-speaking testimonies for his investigation. I am also considering reporting the matter to the public prosecutor depending on Shopify’s decision. It’s been a week now since I provided all the documents Shopify requested. They then asked me to update all the processed orders with tracking numbers, which I did. I’m currently waiting for their final response. I went to see the Public Prosecutor in Paris at 14 Quai des Orfèvres, where I summarized the situation and showed him the email exchanges I had with Shopify. He asked me to submit a detailed written report, with supporting documents, once Shopify has made its final decision. My lawyer also plans to seek compensation, as my store generates around $1,500 per day. Meanwhile, I’ve shared the entire case with a friend who is a legal investigative journalist at Le Monde. He and his team are investigating the matter. I have 7k in payouts pending for over 1 week. No one has emailed me about the additional documentation I need to submit. I was previously using Square, there customer support was way better, at least you could call them. Hoping I get my funds soon as my business depends on cashflow for its assets. Wont be long till my business bank account goes negative

Shopify are thieves; they just closed all my accounts without any valid reason. I recommend switching to another platform.

We are dealing with the same issue but for chargebacks… over $400k is being held WE NEED HELP AS WELL!! No response from Shopify at all in over 21 days on the matter all we’re getting is “we’re working on it”

OK, I honestly just have to ask. What are you guys selling to generate such great income? I am also very sorry about your situation. But I’m so curious to see what your store sells.

This is Sara Malik we are still facing this since 4 months shopify hold our payouts and send us email you done D3 violation your funds held on payment process and permanently hold its final decision its totally unfair they have right to terminate the shopify payment gateway but how can they hold our paid payouts customers products delivered before 3 months no clam no issue no one team help us .

Please guide if your issue solved and what should we do ? anyone help any appeal email for payouts issue

Hello, I am new to Shopify and am also having an issue with ShopPay holding my payouts. I am researching Stripe as an alternative solution but do not see it listed within the Payments tab > Add Payment Method. How do you integrate your store with Stripe? Thank you in advance.

This is happening to me right now. It is dire, my business needs its funds to operate and shopify is holding thousands of dollars of our money. What ended up happening here? Did it get resolved or are you taking legal action?
