I am currently based in India and in the process of migrating my ecommerce website from Magento to Shopify. On my Magento site, I offer a range of daily utility products that customers can subscribe to. However, during my search for subscription apps on Shopify, I discovered that most of them only support integration with Shopify Payments, Authorize.net, or PayPal Express as payment gateways. Unfortunately, these payment methods are hardly used by customers in India.
To explore alternative options, I reached out to a few Indian merchants on Shopify, such as Sleepy Owl, who have successfully implemented subscriptions on their website. They informed me that they use the Recurpay Subscription app in conjunction with Razorpay as their payment gateway. However, upon further investigation, I discovered that all subscription apps have currently ceased onboarding new merchants from India due to some government guidelines about recurring payments.
Therefore, I am seeking a solution to enable subscription functionality on my website. I am open to the idea of offering subscriptions exclusively for Cash on Delivery (COD) as a payment method, if necessary. I kindly request your prompt response and any suggestions or insights you can provide to help me find a viable solution. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
