Using a digital scale to automatically enter package weight for orders

In an effort to streamline and improve fulfillment, my team is wanting to attach a digital scale to our PC and have the exact weight automatically import to an order when fulfilling and purchasing a shipping label. We do not see this functionality in Shopify as it is and are coming up short in our search for an app to help with this in the Shopify App Store. Has anyone done this, found an app that can do this or have a suggestion for this?
