I’m in need of serious help. I’ve recently been informed by my support rep at Cometly that my ad tracking has catastrophically failed over the past 3 days because my theme is stripping my UTM parameters.
The theme is Flex by Out Of The Sandbox, and I recently updated it to the most recent theme version, version 3.2.0. I want to note that I was not having issues with UTMs being stripped prior to updating my theme. However, I think I may have found what’s causing the issue. In the theme changelog, they state as part of their 3.2.0 update for Flex:
- “Updated product page URL to include variant ID when switching variants”
The problem with this is that anytime I try to add a UTM parameter to the end of this URL: https://trynutriskin.com/products/nutriskin%E2%84%A2-microcurrent-cellulite-facial-slimmer?variant=42511647932635 , the UTM parameter is stripped, and thus, my ads do not correctly track conversions. It’s like the variant ID is taking priority over any other UTMs I add.

I am not a coder by any means. I can barely grasp what’s going on. But I’ve reached out to the support team with Out Of The Sandbox, but haven’t heard back. I even paid for their priority support, and didn’t hear anything back either.
Does anyone know how to fix this? I notice that there’s not many resources on this at all. Any/all advice is appreciated!
