I have the vivid theme and I need to make the variant picker compulsory before people add the product to their cart.

Sounds like you’re trying to make certain options required before checkout. I recommend using Easify Product Options – it lets you create required fields (like variant pickers) without any coding. Super easy to set up, and it prevents customers from adding to cart until they’ve made a selection. Here’s how it works:
- This is the result: If you don’t select the required option, a red alert will appear when you click Add to cart or Buy now, and you won’t be able to add the item to your cart.
- This is the app setting:
To make the option compulsory, simply set it as a required field like this:
