Variant Setup? Is this the best option?

I have a product which contains three different flavours of honey.

I would like to offer different variants for which jars make up the three flavours. Previously, I’ve created two different, individual products with different SKU’s and barcodes but want to expand that range to maybe six different combos and wondered if variants would be the right vehicle for that?? I looked in Shopify and the only options were size, colour, etc.

My ideal would be to have an empty gift box and then have three drop-downs to fill the “spaces” with the different flavours but I guess an app might be needed for that?

Apologies for my basic questions but I want to make sure that I’m using the right technique and not going down a blind alley.

To solve the confusion, you can create bundles of products, and as you have suggested, you can have a dropdown to let the buyer select the variants.

Follow these steps to set it up:

Step 1: Create Product Variants

Step 2: Install a Product Bundling App

Step 3: Create Product Bundles Using the App

Step 4: Display Bundles on Your Store
