VAT Issue When Converting Currency

Hello,

I launched my Shopify webshop this week :).

Now I run into a currency conversion issue.

My webshop is international (shipping from the Netherlands, Europe) and Shopify automatically removes the VAT from the prices for non-EU countries.
For EU countries, Shopify charges VAT per country.

As a result, I have all kinds of different € prices for the EU and for outside the EU the prices without VAT are a lot lower. I especially don’t want that last one. I normally use the VAT space for the higher transaction costs and the higher shipping costs.

Does anyone have an idea if, how and where this can be adjusted?

Hi Renate,

Ther is a solution for that. Go to Markets and set the prices for Markets where you do not collect taxes to fixed . Then the tax engine will not deduct VAT for these destinations. you may create several Markets there for that purpose (in essence, separate them from International market)
