Is there a way to create a view or report that will show who created a draft order?

If you weren’t aware, orders have a Timeline section that allows you to access detailed histories or past events, actions and information related to the transaction. Within this section, you can find specific details such as the staff member who created the draft order. An example of this is highlighted in the screenshot below.
Is this the kind of report you are after? If so and you need the steps to get to the order timeline, you can refer to the following instructions:
- In your Shopify admin, go to Orders.
- Click the order you wish to view.
- Scroll down the Timeline section.

Hi. I’m familiar with the timeline section in each order, but I’m looking for a view or report that shows the creator without having to go in to each record. So in my original screenshot it would be great if there was a column for “created by”

Thanks for the clarification, [email removed]Moderngolfcarts! I can definitely see how that would be helpful. There’s currently no way to add columns in the Drafts page, but I’ve submitted this as a feature suggestion so our platform development team becomes aware of the need for this. If we end up making an update to the Drafts page and adding a Created by column, we’ll publish it on our changelog.

[email removed]Moderngolfcarts We don’t have any reports that will show the creator of a draft order, however, you can look into third-party reporting apps for this. You can reach out to the apps’ support team or developers for information on whether they can provide a report for draft orders.
You’ll find the apps’ support information when you go into each app listing and scroll down to the Support section. Let me know if you need help contacting them and I’ll be happy to assist you!

Thanks for chiming in. While our platform development team is aware of the need to customize the columns in the Drafts or Orders page, there’s currently no word about this feature request. With that said, it doesn’t mean we’re not considering it. Stay tuned for any future updates!
I understand you would like to be able to distinguish phone or B2B orders from other orders. Have you considered using an app to automatically tag these particular orders? You can label the orders accordingly, then filter the orders by tag in your admin. If you’re interested in trying this approach, you can explore the following apps available in our App Store:

Thanks for the response Summer. We are currently using tags and have some automations for this as well, we are just starting to get into the “way to many” tags situation. lol.

Are you aware of any third-party apps that can do this?
Did Shopify ever create a report for “Drafts converted to Sales” broken out by team member? That’s a pretty essential report.
