Warehouse needs collaborator access to integrate with MintSoft

Hi,

The warehouse which will fulfil my the orders for our Shopify Store needs Collaborator access to our store.

They want to integrate our sysem with MintSoft to get all the order details to them.

We are planning to give them minimum access to the store.

Could someone please tell us what are minimum access we should provide the warehouse?

Did you work out what to do- I don’t think my warehouse should need access as I should just be able to install Minsoft myself but they think they do!

Hi,

Providing collaborator access is generally safe, as Shopify allows you to control exactly what permissions are granted. The warehouse will only be able to access the sections you approve.

Since they are integrating your store with Mintsoft to sync order details, the best approach is to ask the warehouse team which specific permissions they require for the integration. In most cases, they typically need access related to Orders, Products, and Apps to complete the setup.

You can also ask them to send a collaborator request, where they can select the permissions they need. You’ll then be able to review and approve only the minimum access required.

Once the integration is completed and everything is working as expected, you can remove their collaborator access anytime from Settings → Users and permissions.
