Website Audit

Topic summary

Main issue: Product pages display the error “Couldn’t load pickup availability,” which makes the site appear broken and can reduce add-to-cart confidence.

Cause: Likely a Shopify pickup widget failure (a theme/app component that shows in-store pickup availability) due to misconfiguration or incompatibility.

Impact: Negative user trust on product pages; potential conversion drop.

Recommended fixes:

  • If you don’t offer pickup: disable the pickup display on product pages.
  • If you do offer pickup: properly configure Local Pickup in Shopify settings so the widget loads correctly.

Notes: The built-in assistant (Sidekick) was not helpful for resolving this.

Status: No confirmation of a fix applied; actionable next steps provided, discussion remains open.

ChatGPT did a website audit and is saying - 1) Product pages may be showing pickup-related errors

If customers see “Couldn’t load pickup availability” on product pages, it looks like the site is broken and can reduce add-to-cart confidence.

:white_check_mark: Fix: disable pickup display OR properly configure local pickup in Shopify (depending on whether you offer pickup).

(This message is a Shopify pickup widget failure—common theme/app issue.)

Sidekick is not helpful

And people with crystal balls are on holidays.

But seriously – can you see pickup availability, or you use ChatGPT to looks at sites for you?

Sounds pretty reasonable. Either disable it or fix it :man_shrugging:

Hi @user2448

See here important word is may, it may or may not show. But how would ChatGPT know, it gets the source of the page, and assumes or hallucinates something. It does not see. And like @tim_1 points out, do you see pickup availability or error?

Also, if you want createa new topic in

As I said

If you expect any assistance – provide info.

In this case ChatGPT may consider the lack of pickup info on your product pages an error rather then norm. Do you have delivery info on your product pages/structured data(this one I doubt)?

If you don’t understand the question please feel free to NOT comment instead of being condescending.
