None of the SEO stuff really works

The trick that works - Branded backlinks.

Getting my store mentioned (with a link!) on industry blogs, influencer sites, or niche directories gave a solid boost to rankings and credibility. Even unlinked brand mentions, just asking for a backlink, made a difference.

It’s a simple, underrated strategy that compounds over time!

I believe its unique content. I wrote on like System Dynamic Model for Shopify Free Trial, the loops how actually it works that ranked so fast. Then regular updates are necessary. Other things are secondary backings.

Hah, coming from a company that’s been building SEO tools for almost 20 years, I couldn’t just scroll past this… :slightly_smiling_face:

Google’s algorithms are still much simpler than they’d like you to think. In the long run, it’s all about backlinks. But until you have enough of them, it’s about finding ‘rankable’ keywords - the ones your website has a good chance of ranking for right now.

outside-the-box SEO method that surprisingly worked well for me was repurposing Reddit threads into blog content. I’d find niche-specific questions with tons of engagement, summarize the best insights, and then add my own take to create a helpful, well-structured post. Not only did it target long-tail keywords naturally, but I also linked back to those original Reddit threads (which added credibility and sometimes even brought traffic from Reddit itself).

Another quick win was adding internal search intent-based CTAs on older blog posts — things like “Looking for more tips on [related topic]? Check this guide.” It reduced bounce rate and improved time on site, which I think helped rankings over time.

It’s those small, creative tweaks that sometimes make a bigger impact than we expect!
