Anyone able to recommend a good theme that can be used for electronic retail? I’ve got a heavily edited Brooklyn theme just now, but looking to freshen up the website (subbytech.com) to something a bit more modern and fresh.
Hi @MrPaul_McCaw ,
It’s customization work, for that you need to hire a developer or need a developer help,
to add this feature with custom code.
You can contact (https://www.halothemes.com/contact) for support.
If you find this answer helpful, please mark it as a SOLUTION.
Best regards.

Beyond that you haven’t provided enough substantive information for anyone to be able to make a quality recommendation.
You really want to work out a qualifying statement in these matters hoping for “best” is a good way to burn a lot of money.
Example rhetorical questions:
WHY are you needing to switch themes..
If looking for “fresh” why isn’t the current theme “fresh” .. was it ever “fresh” if so what happend to make it stale.. will staleness just happen again…
Are customers saying it isn’t “fresh”..
If the current theme is heavily edited what edits/features need to be transferred/exist in the next theme.
etc
etc
Goodluck
Hey @MrPaul_McCaw !
Thanks for getting in touch and I hope you’re having a lovely day.
Having the right theme for your store is essential! It looks like @PaulNewton and others shared some helpful information already for help in choosing a new theme. After having a browse through your store, the theme I would recommend is Providence here at this link, it is somewhat similar to what you already have but a little cleaner in design and layout.
If you need some additional inspiration, then I would suggest checking out our Choosing themes guide here. This guide will help you narrow down some things you might want to consider when choosing your theme, such as;
- FAQ page
- Instagram feed
- Product filtering
- Quick buy
- Related products
- Search engine optimization
- Sticky navigation
- Video
- Wide layout
By the way, I really enjoyed having a look through your store, your niche and target audience are made very clear from the moment I enter your site! Once thing I did notice is that when I click on your Instagram in the footer it seems to lead me to a non-existent Instagram account, is there a reason that your Instagram is not working here? It’s very important that your social media links are working on your site for your brand and product to help promote your store and also drive more traffic to it. I recommend adding a shipping policy to your footer, so customers know upfront where you ship to, how long it takes, and how much it costs. Learn more about adding one here. This will build trust and also save the customer time. Let me know if you have any further questions!
Thanks for the info Paul. I’ve decided to go down the route of getting in external help to re-do the website. It hasn’t changed that much since 2018 when we launched, so I’m looking to get it modernised. I appreciate the feedback. Thank you. Paul [email removed] Subbytech
Great suggestion Maz, that theme looks really good. I’ll investigate further.
Also thanks for the instagram info, I’ll chase that up too. We changed accounts and this has slipped through the net.
Thanks again, really helpful, have a fab day

Hello @MrPaul_McCaw !
You’re very welcome for the help! Glad I was able to offer some advice here.
You can also download the theme and build it out as you go and see if this suits your business needs. If you’re looking for expert help, you can actually post a job on the Shopify Experts Page here at this link and see what feedback and quotes you get. You can find where and how to do this here.
I hope this helps, have a fab day too!
