Shopify is a complete joke. First, this blog editor is tiny. Who thought this was a good idea? The UI sucks. There’s no way around it - this is awful.
Secondly, and most importantly, why can’t you format links properly? Everytime I set up a link and have it set to open in a new window and save the blog it resets the formatting and switches them to open in the same window. I’m wasting half my day trying to fix links - what is going on?
It doesn’t get any more basic than this. We pay way too much money every month for a platform that will not let you link properly.
Would really need to see the blog content, unfortunately. Are you pasting the content in?
The editor does some validation work on saving so if you had malformed content it tries to fix it. That’s where my guess would lead me to first and could result in a change.
Step 1 would be reviewing the content and html. Once you’re 100% sure it’s valid that would at least rule out invalid/malformed html.
A good test would be to do the most simple article with nothing but a link. That gives you a smaller amount of content to test and likely something you can share here too should it change there. If it doesn’t change in that example it gives some (but not complete) weight to the invalid html you’re added in.
