Moving away from those very AI-generated sounding generic replies, here are a couple of things you should consider:
You don’t actually need A/B testing! A/B testing requires a lot of events to measure even larger effects, and better suggestions will typically not impact your CTR by more than a few percent. Your store won’t have enough traffic to make the effect measurable through A/B testing and therefore it is not a good way to see if one app is better than another. Instead, I suggest you just install a few apps, put yourself in the shoes of a visitor and see which suggestions make more sense to you. As you know your products, this should be easy.
Suggestions can be personalized and yet not based on individual customer’s browsing and purchase history (and even should’t for many reasons!) For one, every customer interacts with your store in a very limited way (sees a few products maybe adds even fewer to a cart and ultimately might never come back). That’s not a lot of data to work with and this data only applies to one user. That’s why most recommendation engines do the matching through product attributes combined with purchase history (which is user generated data that applies to all future customers rather than just the one that generated it).
