What's the difference between Printify and Alibaba for dropshipping?

I am looking for the easiest way to handle drop shipping, but because I’m new, there is a lot I don’t understand yet. Can somebody explain this please: If I want to sell T-shirts, I contact Printify, install their app and they handle the delivery process. But suppose I want to sell more products. Is there a difference between Printify and companies like Alibaba and SalesHoo? This is where I get lost. First, I don’t know if out-of-country companies do single-delivery drop shipping, or do you have to buy products. Second, what is the difference between the two if any? Obviously size, but services they perform. I’m looking for a multi-product store here in the US where I can put their app on my Shopify store and there isn’t any inventory I have to worry about.

Hi @dthomasbruner ,

This is Anthony from Beae Landing Page Builder, and I’m happy to assist you today.

I gave some information, hope it helps you a bit

So, dropshipping is like when you want to sell stuff online, but you don’t actually keep the products in stock. Instead, when someone buys something from your online store, you tell a supplier to send it directly to the customer. It’s like you’re the middle person making the connection.

Printify is cool for selling custom stuff like T-shirts. You hook up their app to your online shop (like Shopify), and when someone buys a T-shirt, Printify handles making it and sending it to the buyer. No need to worry about keeping shirts in your garage!

Now, there’s also Alibaba and SaleHoo. They’re like big online markets where you can find suppliers from different places, mostly from other countries. You can use them for dropshipping too, but it’s a bit different. With Alibaba, you might need to talk to suppliers about shipping and all that. SaleHoo gives you a list of good suppliers to make it easier.

So, to put it simply: Printify is for custom things like T-shirts, Alibaba and SaleHoo are for all sorts of stuff, but you might need to work more closely with the suppliers. Just remember, no matter what, you need to pick reliable suppliers and make sure the products are good before you start selling a bunch. Starting small and testing things out is the smart way to go!

Best regards,

Anthony
