What's the ideal banner size for Dawn 4.0 theme?

Hi all,

I am using the Dawn theme v4. Would someone be able to advise what the ideal image banner size should be? I can’t find a specified size and from the code it seems that the height size is based on a ratio of the width. I’ve tried varied sizes and the images seem to get cut off once uploaded.

Also, where would I be able to find the container sizes for images so that I can use the ideal sizes whenever I upload images.

Due to how the banner is coded images will inevitably always cut off at some point. Not only for Dawn, but for all free themes. This is a recurrent issue here in the community.

If you want to have a banner or slider with images that will never cut off this copy/paste section may be an option, alternatively contacting a developer for a custom solution will be the best call.

Hi Diego,

So would that mean that I would not be able to adjust the image proportions in some way to fit into the required theme parameters? Ideally looking for a solution that wouldn’t require additional installation on my shopify.
