Our business is still relatively small, with under 50 products total, over half of which are variations on the same product. We’re trying to expand our reach with new products, but currently we have some “collections” with just 2 or 3 products. Our sales manager is pushing this, however i can’t help but think in terms of SEO it’s a bad idea. If we somehow rank for the name of this collection and people click our link, only having 2 products is bound to have a higher bounce rate right? Additionally, we have stock in multiple countries, so while one country might only have 2 products in this collection due to stock, another country might have 5. Is there a way to avoid this awkward reshuffling when the stock varies country to country?

I mean, I’d try to rank the pages and let the conversion data speak for itself. 2 or 3 products for a collection is definitely on the low-side, but if it’s a good match of the user intent, it could be enough. Just make sure you’re writing a useful description to help orient the user.
Re: the country stock question - if you want to have stock respect the country of the user, then I would assume it’s natural for the inventory levels to change? I’m not sure I understand the question.
