I’m working with Narrative, and there is a top bar (announcement bar) that comes with the theme, and that I’ve edited before, but now I can’t seem to find where to edit that. It should be hard to find, but I swear I’ve looked everywhere in the Customize Theme section and I just don’t see it.
@Matthew_O_Malle - is it by mistake deleted? or hidden due to css? can you share site link? I will check it now
The top bar is visible on the site. What I can’t figure out is where to go on the admin side to edit it.
This is the Narrative theme.
I have edited the CSS in the theme a little, but that’s it. I can’t figure out why that would make it difficult for me to find where to EDIT the announcement bar?
@Matthew_O_Malle - check header file , if it have this bar
It does, and it refers to section.settings.announcement_text, which makes me think somewhere in the Settings (in the Theme → Customize UI) is where I should be able to edit this text, and edit the “announcement-bar”, but I don’t see that anywhere.
In theme settings, I only see:
- colors
- typography
- cart drawer
- social
- favicon
- checkout
- theme style
is there header section in customizer?
Not sure what customizer is?
can you add me to staff? I will check it
I finally found it.
It’s in Theme → Customize → Header, but you have to scroll way down in the left frame to see it (on Mac the scrollbar isn’t visible until you start scrolling).
Great, yes it can be bit complicated but it exists
