white space and background photo

Hey so the whitespace got removed on all my other pages but on my homepage it wont go away even after i added

main#MainContent { background: #7D926D !important; }

It made my background picture disappear, is there a way to get rid of the white space and keep my background picture?

Also when the resolution changes the background photo no longer fits the screen its cut off also

Hi the store link is a689bc-f9.myshopify.com and the password newstoyearly

Step 1: Go to Shopify Admin → Online Store ->Theme → Edit code

Step 2: Search file theme.liquid

Step 3: Insert this code above tag:

Here is result:
