Why are color variants showing separately in my product collection?

Hello,

I have over 200 apparel products, some on them are the same style but come in different colors as a variant. I want it so when viewing collection all the colors appear as seperate icon/photos but when you open the product all the variant options are still there.

Have tried an app cal variations but it doesnt work on shopify 2.0 themes.

Have you tried the ‘Variants on collection page’ app? Refer https://apps.shopify.com/show-variants-on-collection-page

Or https://apps.shopify.com/variant-swatch-king?surface_detail=Variants+on+collection+page&surface_inter_position=1&surface_intra_position=5&surface_type=search

I think it will help you in this case
