Why are my images blurry on the Modular theme?

Hi

I have recently bought the Modular theme and love every bit of it. However, when I try to upload images, it is blurry and cannot seem to fix the quality. I have resized and changed the dpi but the results are still the same.

If i click on the image and the product page is shown, the image is absolutely fine but the front page itself where it shows the preview is somewhat blurry, If possible I would like to get to the bottom of this.
