So im just setting up my store and got my products from zendrop. However the shipping rates on zendrop don’t match the rates in the checkout of my store, in fact its double in some cases. Is there a specific reason this is the case?

Rio here from the Shopify Community team. That’s a great question. This is due to how Zendrop’s shipping estimates work. You can read more about them in their article on shipping charges.
Since it’s charged per product, I’d suggest just increasing your product margins to account for the shipping costs, instead of calculating the shipping the same way. Shipping charges are one of the main reasons customers may abandon the checkout, so you’d want to offer free shipping instead.
You wouldn’t want to have a high shipping cost for a customer who purchases more items, so it’s always best to offer free shipping!
You can also set up a shipping and tracking page for your customers so they can track their orders.
