Why are only some products showing in the Merchant Center and Google Ads?

Hi community,

I have problems with the API feed. I have 58 products in my store and yesterday I see that only 28 are listed in the Merchant Center and also in Google Ads.

I have not made any changes and do not understand.

Can someone please take a look at what is going on.

Hello @Swisabeauty if you go to Google Merchant Center > Products > Diagnostics > do you see any products rejected, ie having errors?

yes thanks, this is what I see in merchant center - I hope you can advise me:

Hi EmanuelFlossie, I sent you the picture from Merchant center. I see there are some products “limited”. OMG - no idea who did it.

But in shopify admin I see 26 products are not at google and it is increasing - yesterday it was 24, now it is 26

and all products have the same error like this

and all products

this is totally horror for me. nobody will find me

I hope you can help me

waiting for a feedback and thank you in advance

Margret

It looks to mee that your products are expiring. Hence why they are removed.

Products must be re-submitted at least every 29 days. If you are using the free shopping app from Shopify, then this app does sometimes not submit the data.

Consider contacting Shopify support to ask to push all products again.

Or alternatively, what i use for my clients is the following data feed app, which does not have this particular issue: https://apps.shopify.com/multiple-google-shopping-feeds

This is very crazy. I have this shop now for 2 years and never happend this horror problem.

the thing with the data feed sounds to complicated to me - I am not good in this.

what would you charge if you do this for me? and then I hope then these problems are solved forever

Feel free to reach out at hello@feedarmy.com and happy to help.

I understand you may have never had the issue, Google and Shopify constantly make changes and we as end users will always need to adapt to make sure everything works as intended.

A quick, hack is to re-process the data using a supplement feed, however this does not submit updated info, just reprocesses the info.

Here is a guide: https://feedarmy.com/kb/how-to-reprocess-content-api-in-google-merchant-center/

You may also need to disable automatic updates in GMC, however this does cause other issues.

Go to GMC > top right corner > gear icon > automatic updates.

The recommended solution is to use a more advanced app: https://apps.shopify.com/multiple-google-shopping-feeds

I understand your frustration with changing things, with over 14 years of experience in eCommerce, sticking too long with something will always eventually have issues. Having more advanced features allows you to grow more. For example, you would never be able to improve the data feed quality using the free app unless you are able to edit the info that is visible on the website.

But with a more advanced app, you can edit it in the app itself, without it affecting your website.

I always work towards finding solutions to fix problems.
