Why aren't my navigation menu changes reflecting on my website?

Hi there,

I removed a category from the main menu so that the categories can show up on the top right corner of the home page vs in a drop down menu on the left.

In my admin panel, the changes have been done and the category doesn’t show up anymore. However, the website doesn’t reflect these changes and the category that I deleted still shows up (so the menu is still a drop down instead of showing up on the top right).

1. This was how the menu originally looked like (categories show on the top right of the page):

2. I then tried adding a category and the menu changed to drop-down form like this:

3. I don’t like this menu so I removed the category again (the “designers” category). Now, the designers category doesn’t show up on my Admin panel, yet the website has not taken into account this change. It still shows “Designers” when this category has been deleted on the backend.

I would like to go back to the original design (the screenshot showed in point 1, ie. showing the categories on the top right)

Looks like the change is now done – it just took a long time (a few hours) to update. Thanks for your help

Dear Shopify: waiting hours is NOT a solution. Navigation changes are again not taking effect in a reasonable timeframe. Shopify users need to be able to get on with their work.

I have a similar problem to this. I have created a new menu on my store, updated it in shopify but the navigation is not updating.

website is summerfieldandscott.co.uk

The one called New Main Menu is the old one that still shows, but you can see I have changed the menu to New Main Menu 2024. Have tried clearing cache etc but nothing works.
