I would like to customize my checkout with colors, logo, banner, etc. but I keep getting sent to the Home page
I am using the Dawn theme with a Basic Shopify account.
I go to settings> checkout> customize checkout. but I am then sent to the home page and not the checkout editing page.
I have seen many videos where that process happens seamlessly, but I am directed to the homepage instead.
I have also tried the drop down at the top for the theme editor and it still goes to the home page.
I tried to edit it on my phone and tablet. It did go correctly to the customize checkout page once, but when I returned again it went to the Home page.

It did not change the situation. I am still getting to the homepage from all devices and even incognito. I updated everything and cleared cache and cookies.
I am new to Shopify and I have been trying to figure this out for a while now and am very frustrated.
I think that maybe Shopify is not for me and that I sadly I should try another platform.
I can’t imagine what would happen if I had these types of problems when I begin making sales.
Sorry to see that your problem still not fixed. Pros and cons are with all the platforms, i never face the issue that you are facing. As last try if you like to share your store collaboration access then i can try to fix your issue.
