Why does it take so long for a customer to receive their refund?

If you are using Shopify Payments, In most cases, the refund is labelled as Pending for up to 2 business days, and it can take up to 10 business days for your customer to receive the refunded amount.
If you use another payment gateway the times may vary but generally will be around the same. You can read more about this here.
Important to note that refunds might appear in the form of a reversal. In the case of a reversal, the original payment is removed from your customer’s bank statement, and a separate credit is not issued.
