Hi there! I was recently managing my inventory and realized some of my products were unavailable/sold out from my supplier. Therefore, I set the availability to “-1”. However, when I returned to my website, it didn’t say it was sold out. Consequently, I am afraid some customers might buy one of my sold-out products. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
@Dbuglabpvtltd Thanks for replying! I took your advice and I just tried that, but it still doesn’t say that it’s sold out and anyone can easily buy it.
It looks like you’ve resolved the issue because I can see those products displaying as sold out on your store. But for the sake of someone stumbling across this thread in the future, I’ll share some details.
With products managed in Shopify, you have the ability to ‘continue selling when out of stock’ or not for your products. This means that even if your product quantity reaches 0, you will still allow orders to go through for those products. You can toggle overselling on or off from the products page in your Shopify admin when you bulk edit them:
