Why is my homepage banner pixelated despite resizing?

I’ve resized my Shopify homepage banner several times now, and it’s still entirely way too pixelated. It looks terrible.

Click on my portfolio page, and you’ll see high-quality images that I would expect on the homepage, but I must be doing something wrong on the sizing or something…

Here’s the link.

I tried 1200x600.

Does anyone have some tips here? I’m using the free Studio theme.

Do I need to adjust code somewhere?

Thank you. I should’ve mentioned–this is an issue if you view my homepage on a desktop/Mac.

If you view it on a mobile device, it looks fine.

Thank you. I created the homepage banner in Canva, exported from Canva and then uploaded to Shopify as one big image. Sharing to make sure you know what I did on my end.
