My site is papple-dapple-co.myshopify.com. My site was loading good - not missing a beat. But about 2 months ago, I decided to remove the apps I was not using like Oberlo, and several others. But before I deleted the apps, I contacted each app service, and asked if they would please uninstall their app. I never heard from any of them, approximately 10 or so apps. So after 3 weeks or so, I had hoped they uninstalled their app, and I deleted the apps on my end. Now… my store uploads slower than molasses down a Birch tree.
When we uninstall any app sometimes we need to remove their leftover code as well, you need to fix these issues. also sometimes some code is left which we can not check from the frontend of the store. Such code can be available in theme.liquid or some other files as well.
I’d be happy to view the website on my end to see how it loads. Could you provide me with the storefront password or temporarily remove it so that I can take a look?
If there is anything else I can help you with, please let me know.
You can also improve your Shopify store’s speed by resolving render blocking, implementing lazy loading, and fixing core web vitals. Here are some suggestions:
Resolve render blocking: When your page is loading, it may be delayed by render blocking resources such as JavaScript and CSS. You can optimize your website’s speed by reducing the number of render-blocking resources or using async and defer attributes to load them asynchronously.
Implement lazy loading: Lazy loading allows images and other content to load only when they are needed, rather than all at once when the page loads. This can significantly improve your website’s speed by reducing the initial load time.
Fix core web vitals: Core web vitals are a set of metrics that Google uses to measure the user experience of your website, including loading speed, interactivity, and visual stability. You can use tools like websitespeedy, Google’s PageSpeed Insights and Web.dev to identify issues and fix them.
Optimize your website for mobile devices: Most users access the internet using their mobile devices, so it’s crucial to optimize your website for mobile devices to improve your website’s speed and user experience. You can use tools like Google’s Mobile-Friendly Test to identify issues and fix them.
By implementing these suggestions, you can improve your Shopify store’s speed and user experience, which can lead to higher conversions and customer satisfaction.
