Hi Zworthkey,
Thanks for your reply. Here is My store website: www.butternsoapco.ca
Hope you can find out my problem. Thanks
My score speed on shopify is below average!
Hi @Buttergirl ,
I have checked your store it looks nice but you have to work for speed optimization.
Lighthouse score :
Page insight score :
Properly size images :
The Opportunities section of your Lighthouse report lists all images in your page that aren’t appropriately sized, along with the potential savings in kibibytes (KiB). Resize these images to save data and improve page load time
For each image on the page, Lighthouse compares the size of the rendered image against the size of the actual image. The rendered size also accounts for device pixel ratio. If the rendered size is at least 4KiB smaller than the actual size, then the image fails the audit.
Specify multiple image versions and the browser will choose the best one to use
3rd party apps & codes which take time to load and their size . They decrease the speed.
Need to work on following points
- Theme Upgrade if there is a scope and upgraded theme available
- Reduce JS Payload.
- Use Critical CSS .
- Reduce Large Image Sizes
- Compress Images
- Limit Third Party JavaScript & Shopify Apps
- Preload Web Fonts.
- I would suggest limiting to one and using a standard web font.
See where exactly google speed index tools want you to target your code to optimize the site .
First Contentful Paint
- Eliminate render-blocking resources
- Reduce server response times (TTFB)
- Avoid multiple page redirects
- Preload key requests
- Avoid enormous network payloads
- Serve static assets with an efficient cache policy
- Avoid an excessive DOM size
- Minimize critical request depth
By fixing these issues, your website speed score can definitely improve.
