Why is my test checkout showing a Bogus Gateway error with 3D Secure?

Trying to do a test checkout on my shop and I’m getting this error:

(for testing) Bogus Gateway doesn’t support 3D Secure with Shopify, which is required with European PSD2 regulations???

I’m on a free trial account at the moment not sure if this makes a difference?

I’m seeing the same error message on a dev store with the bogus gateway - checkouts are also broken and so far support have been unable to identify the issue :disappointed_face:

I’m sorry, this is a very old post but I am not finding many references to this problem.
Do you have any updates on this? I am facing the same “broken checkout” issue, I am testing on a dev store as well. The weird thing is that if I test from mobile it works smoothly, on the other side every test done using any desktop browser ends in a frozen page that ultimately crashes

I contacted the Support, and all I’ve got until now is : “we will not hide from you that this will take time to investigate, thanks for your patience and understanding”

Yeah, same.

I also quoted this thread in the chat. The support told me that he was also experiencing the same problem on his side. Finger crossed.
I have this problem in all my development stores, even in mobile.

I also tried to create a new store, and change the bogus for the Shopify payments in demo mode.

Nothing works. :disappointed_face:
