I followed the instructions to change the search bar placeholder text of my store’s homepage, so I went to online store > actions > edit languages > search placeholder. I am able to type in a new placeholder text, however, it doesn’t matter how many times I save the changes and refresh my store, the homepage search bar continues to show the original text (search). Is it possible to change this by force somehow? Maybe by editing the code? I appreciate any help in advance.
You should edit the code in proper liquid file.

Could you let us know which theme you are using, by any chance? If you are unsure about which theme is live on your store, you can navigate to the Theme Editor and select the three dots that are located towards the top left of the page. I took a screenshot from my test store to show you the section I am referring to:

I still didn’t manage to find a solution to my problem. Do you have any advice? My store is in portuguese, so it makes no sense for the placeholder text to be in english. If I find no solution I will have to change my store’s theme.
