Will changing a template delete existing content on a webpage?

I am looking to design a new page for the website. I have set the page to a Template called Videos. This page houses all our videos on it, but I would like to delete the content and add new images and headings to the NEW page.

My question is, if I set the NEW page to a template and delete the content, does this mean that the content will be deleted on the ACTUAL videos Page? I don’t want to mess with anything that already exists.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you kindly!
