I am a semi website builder able to create my own webpages, but I am not familiar with Shopify. I’m starting to build out my first website with them and researched a few websites designs I liked.
When I inspected the webpage it had a link to//www.xxxxx/cdn/shop/t/31/assets/theme.css?v=40882162060297478511729347283
I’m assuming this id is to a theme but I’m unable to look it up on Shopify.

To figure out what theme a store just google “how to identify theme” etc etc
the assumption is wrong for multiple reasons:
In soft dev “v” is shorthand for version and that url is telling you the version number of a theme.css file for STYLES it has nothing to do with a theme.id.
And even if that was the theme.id that would not tell you the “name” of a theme, only what it’s global number is for shopify’s servers which doesn’t give you any internal access to anything.
Actually that may be the best solution… Google just said to use Shopify theme detector and it gave me the name of a theme when I entered that website. Hope that is reliable enough.
