Workaround for Shopify breaking breadcrumbs

Shopify has effectively broken breadcrumbs (I believe it was for SEO purposes) but I can no longer have breadcrumbs in the format HOME > COLLECTION > PRODUCT, now they are all HOME > ALL PRODUCTS > PRODUCT

So they are basically useless and serve no purpose anymore.

Has anyone figured out a good work around to put them back without the SEO hit ?
