This is my story and I have decided to make this because I am not getting help what do ever… I have started a online business sell mini fridges online and it’s the worst mistake of my life, I started this business and have all the documents and papers needed to prove my business as legit when I first started it however once I was under review I was deem high risk and then they decided to terminate my store keeping in mind I have $5000 in profit sales on that store. I had paid thousands in advertisements and hundreds in fees just to have this store running, keeping in mind it was going really well and I only started a few weeks back. I woke up to a email from a guy called GEOFF who then told me they decided to terminate my account and I will no longer have access to that account and information about my customers or even have a way to see anything going on in that account because I was deemed high risk, I have around 78 orders that need fulfilling but I cannot because I have no access to any of the information of my customers, I was told my payout is on hold for 120days and is only on hold for chargebacks, I know how chargebacks work and I know my customers will chargeback orders because they will not be receiving nothing because I have no access to the information anymore about my customers!!! This will mean I will have to face a hefty fee from the chargebacks of $25 from each customer that does a chargeback, I see this not my fault and have no fault or a way to fix this, I cannot even respond to the chargebacks!!! I have been texting and calling and everything in hand I do not get a response at all! The so called GEOFF guy from Shopify risk team doesn’t even respond to my emails and when he does it’s after a full 5 days. I’m here to put this I have lost so much money in a business I worked months on to work just right and once it started to blow up and work this is what I get bleep this!
@Yahay – it’s unfortunately just one side of the story and Shopify usually doesn’t comment on public channels (rightfully so) when it comes to individual cases.
Have you tried to go through the regular support system or only emailed with that Shopify representative?
If you think it’s been unlawful what’s happening to you, I suggest you consult with a lawyer to see what your options are.

Hi mister mario, this I have told my side and I have contacted everywhere u can imagine to get your side of the story but there was no response not from anyone or the person that emailed me and if they do respond it’s always the same automated message, this platform has turned down bad these years and I have said everything and youse don’t want to tell me your side of the story I have no way but to move on and stop bothering because it won’t happen, a lot of people face the same problem that I’m facing but youse decide not to observe properly on your cases and ruin people’s business, if I have a way to contact I would’ve and if I get a response it would be most appreciative because this is totally unfair on me I have been paying your services for a long time over 2 years and I have paid a lot in fees in a number of stores
I‘m sorry for your troubles. Unfortunately I can’t help at all, as I’m not in any way affiliated with Shopify myself. Maybe someone like @TyW can help shed some more light on this issue, but I’m afraid, in the end you’ll have to start dealing with this on a non-public channel. If Shopify doesn’t participate, then you’re sort of screwed.
That’s one of the most critical risks merchants face, once they commit to using a closed system like Shopify; all the benefits at a competitive price do come with a number of risks, some of which I personally might not be willing to take as a merchant. An alternative to mitigate that risk would be treating yourself to an open source system, which you have full control over.
