Is it better to start off your Shopify Business with one product of multiple products?

@Gameade - great question, and one we get all the time!

Question: Should I launch with one or many products?
There’s benefits to both, but often times we suggest to create a product line focused on one or a few hero products to build a narrative around.

A solution to make that narrative and marketing very focused is by having 1 hero product, with 3-5 supporting products to compliment it.

  • Eg: Your hero product is a luxury face moisturizer, and it’s supported by a cleanser and a toner to prep your skin, and a serum to deeply hydrate it. You can sell them all individually, or bundle them into a better price for your customers.

Some other ways to think about it:

  • One product = focused launch and makes for easier testing
  • Multiple = increased AOV (average order volumes) and cross-sell opportunities

My common advice is don’t overwhelm your customers with too much choice - less is more!
