Hi. While exploring the Shopify abandoned cart/checkout tool’s analytics found at Marketing > Automations, there are two metrics that aren’t clear to me: reach and sessions.
What is “reach” and what is “sessions?” The numbers I see don’t align with anything I try matching them to. The third metric, “conversion rate” equals orders / sessions, yet the number in orders isn’t what I see as “recovered” in abandoned carts (Orders > Abandoned checkouts).
The reach represents the number of customers reaching your website from a particular traffic source, while sessions represents the total number of sessions on your online store from each traffic source. If you’d like to learn more about the Marketing analytics, then we’ve got a guide on that here: Measuring marketing performance.
