I am requesting assistance with setting up a new account. I have a GoDaddy accountand would like to switch over domain, and a few pages. I would like to speak to customer support about the most efficient way to set this up

Just have a few questions just so I know exactly what you are looking for.

  • Have you created / setup the Shopify account yet, or your planning on doing so?
  • Your question “I have a GoDaddy account and would like to switch over domain, and a few pages.” Could you provide a little more context if you don’t mind. You mention you want a new account so is this domain connected to an old store on Shopify, or is this separate?

You mention customer support, you likely won’t get anyone from Shopify replying on here, this is mainly just partners who try help out / pick up some work.

Me, I mainly try help out where I can as a way to better learn what people experience so I can try better my skills.

Hi @AuntEvelyns

You can connect your GoDaddy domain directly in Settings → Domains by selecting “Connect existing domain” and following the prompts. If you prefer, you can transfer the domain to Shopify, but this means GoDaddy will no longer manage it.

For your website pages, you’ll need to manually recreate them in Online Store → Pages or use a page builder app to speed up the process. If you need direct support, you can contact Shopify Support via Shopify Help Center or their live chat
