I work for a sewing and vacuum store and I am just learning about how Google Shopping works in tandem with Shopify and I am having a problem as my account was suspended on Google Merchant for “misrepresentation”, I was given an excel sheet with all of my violations that caused my account to be suspended but I am unsure as to why some of these items would be suspended and I am unsure about how I would rectify this issue. For example, I have had items suspended for missing identifiers [gtin, mpn, brand] but the brand is in the title and I don’t know where I would put the gtin or mpn for example. Or for example where the size range was flagged for having “too many values” and the same item was flagged for not having color, gender, or age group. This particular item (a pattern packet) doesn’t have one color but multiple patterns with different color. I am sorry-I am just new to this. Could anyone who understands this a little bit better explain it so that I can have Google review the items and reinstate my account?
Hey @VacuumSewing ,
Welcome to the Shopify Community!
This is an issue we see quite a bit with Google. The Misrepresentation error can be especially hard to narrow down as this comes from Google and they do not disclose details of the suspension with us, unfortunately. For this reason, we have no way to know what the actual problem is they require you to reach out to them directly to resolve it.
I have shared some suggestions on how to rectify this issue in a previous community thread. You can take a look below:

All the best,
To add barcodes, go to Shopify > Products > click on your products > here on this page, you can find a field named barcode.
If you are using variants, click on the variant, and here you can add barcodes.
Also make sure to add the brand values in the vendor field.
Too many values, indicates just that, each product can only have 1 size. So if you have a small, medium and large. Then each variant should only have 1 value, ie Small, or size or large, not all 3.
All apparel products require to have color, gender and age group, no exception.
If the product is not apparel, then this indicates that the Google Product Category is wrong. So make sure you correctly add the category, and this warning will disappear.
