Adding banner image with text, Expanse Theme

Hello!

I am using the Expanse theme right now but would really like to add an image banner (like the one Dawn has) to my homepage. Is there a way to do that without changing themes? I would like to have an image as background and then a field in the middle (with white background) where I can write, but I cant find anything similar in Expanse really. Thanks in advance.

If the Expanse theme don’t have image banner like Dawn has but you want that then You need to make that section in your theme using liquid code.

I have looked through your store and see you have already set a background image and text field. However, I only need to set the background colour in the text field.

Please add the below mentioned code in your store theme.liquid file.

Steps -:

  1. Go to Online Store → Themes → -> Edit Code.

  2. Search and open theme.liquid file.

  3. Now add the below mentioned code in the end of the theme.liquid file before tag.

.hero__text-shadow { background: white; color: black; }

[Please feel free to change the background and color of the text field as per your needs.]

  1. Save changes.

Hello!

I like my hero image (at the top of my homepage) the way it is, but I would like to add an image banner with text further down. Like this example:
