Adding "Recommended" products to Porto Theme

Hello,

Anyone can provide me some help on how to add “Recommended Products” to the Porto Theme? They are also known as Complementary products. I am using the “Search & Discovery App”. I know how to configure them, but I don’t know how to turn them on my store.

Hi Fabiomalaspina,

I don’t have the Porto theme but my best guess is that you would have to add that block inside the Customize page.

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
  2. Find the theme that you want to edit, and then click Customize.
  3. Open the drop-down menu at the top of the page.
  4. Select Products > Default product to load the template in the theme editor.
  5. Do one of the following:
    • If your product information section has a complementary products block, then click Complementary products.
    • If your product information section doesn’t have a complementary products block, then click + Add block, and then select Complementary products.
  6. Click Save.

Thanks, but I have no Complementary Products block selection to be added. See attachment. I will follow up with the Porto theme developers too.
