Can anyone help me setup up social media marketing
Hello @brett88
If you’re looking for a simple roadmap for social media marketing, you can try this:
1. First, pick one platform to focus on
Instagram tends to work well for visual products, TikTok if you can do short-form video. Connect it to Shopify by adding the built-in Facebook & Instagram channel (it now supports TikTok in the setup flow) so you can tag products directly in posts and Stories.
2. Second, map out a simple content plan.
Aim for three posts a week that mix product shots, how-to videos (show your product in action), and customer photos or testimonials. Consistency matters more than perfection.
3. Start testing your ads
When you’re ready for paid traffic, create a small test campaign in Meta Ads Manager or TikTok Ads Manager with a clear objective (traffic → landing-page views, or conversions). Start with a $5–$10 daily budget, one audience segment, and two to three creative variations. After a week you’ll see which ad and audience combo moves the needle; double down on that.
4. Be consistent
For scheduling and analytics use a free tool like Buffer or Hootsuite. This helps to consistently schedule your organic posts in advance and track engagement so you know what content resonates. Keep an eye on Shopify’s “Sessions by referrer” report to see which platform drives the most visitors and sales. Finally, don’t forget to engage. Try to reply to comments, reshare UGC, run occasional polls or Q&As in Stories to build community. Over time, that combination of consistent content, product tagging, small-scale ad tests, and real engagement will turn social traffic into sales.
How
Hi Brett88,
What sort of social media marketing channels do you want to advertise on? The Shopify app store has app for nearly all the channels–just look up the social media platform you are interested in. You will also need to have a budget in mind for each channel.
Each social media platform offers different marketing opportunities. For example, Instagram has paid ads, organic posts and Instagram Shop. Similarly, TikTok has ads and also TikTok shop.
Now, if managing each individual platform is a bit overwhelming for you, I recommended using a product feed management app. What this type of app does is it creates a product feed (something needed for social media ads mainly) for each platform like Meta, Pinterest, Google shopping, etc. You then need to create accounts on each ad platform like eg - meta for business, or a google merchant center/google ads account to start creating ads.
You can try using AdNabu, the product feed app creates product feeds for Google shopping, meta, snapchat, Bing, TikTok, Pinterest and more! So you can manage all the product feeds from one platform. But yes, do keep in mind you will have to individually set up the ads on their respective platforms. Once the initial set up is done your product feed will be automatically updated any time there is a change in your Shopify store.
Research each platform properly, explore their features, have some goals and set aside a budget.
Let me know if you have any other questions!
