Anyone ever heard of an app called GrowLTV / Magic Cart?

Hey guys. A friend told me about Grow LTV (sometimes known as Magic Cart) – and it looks pretty new, no reviews. Has anyone here used it? Would be happy to get your feedback on whether or not it’s worth the $199/mo.

Hey @therealshirley ,

The app is quite impressive by its UI. In my point of view, it’s pretty much an expensive app to have some functionalities in stores like that do not generate that much revenue or have a profit margin. Those stores might use the law cost app or look for free apps.

I will recommend you to give a try to iCart Cart Drawer Cart Upsell have if you are looking to have the similar functionality of that app. And it is free if you are getting orders under 50 per month.

I can’t comment on the app itself, but I reached out to GrowLTV to learn more about the app. I got an email back from Josh their Founder and it was a pretty poor experience so I figured it was worth sharing here for anyone looking into the app.

I asked first about any known app incompatibilities and got an immediate response that he looked at my store and everything I was using would work fine. So I asked about a specific app that I use that I had a feeling would conflict - he wrote back quickly and said that GrowLTV would completely replace that app. Okay, that’s different, especially since the apps don’t do exactly the same thing by any means.

So I replied back with some detailed questions about how GrowLTV worked (their online documentation is pretty lacking) and asked for some specifics. He wrote back about 1 minute later with ‘Recommend you stick with your current app. Enjoy!’ and ignored all the questions I took the time to ask.

If that’s how they handle a few easy questions from a 7-figure e-com brand in their sales funnel then I’d hate to have a support need after spending thousands to implement the app. I don’t know about the $199/mo quoted on the app store, but they quote a $1500 setup fee + $599/mo when you reach out directly.

Make your own decisions, I’m just sharing my honest experience here and I’ve seen enough red flags to avoid this one!
