Hey everyone,
We do B2B. and quite often an order is shipped in multiple boxes, sometimes 10 or more.
When fulfilling these orders thru an app, Shopify sends a separate shipping confirmation email for each tracking number. So if we ship 12 boxes, the customer receives 12 emails, one per label.
I reached out to Shopify support, and they confirmed this is expected behavior. There’s currently no way to group all tracking numbers into a single email.
This isn’t ideal for our customers, imagine receiving 12 emails for one single order you placed, and we’d really like to improve the experience.
Has anyone found a workaround or app that helps manage shipping notifications better for multi-box B2B orders?
Appreciate any tips or suggestions, thanks in advance!
Hi there, I hope you’re doing well.
That’s going to be tough, to be honest.
Have you taken a look at ShipStation or Parcel Panel Order Tracking?
As far as I know, those are the highest-ranked apps for dropshipping and managing notifications.
Otherwise, I’m not quite sure if it’s possible to send a single notification for multiple shipping labels, especially if they’re being sent automatically and in different orders.
Hi Julio, thanks for the advise, I will look into those apps, the thing is that we do B2B, and customers usually when the place an order is big, and we need to pack the items in a few boxes, imagine a customer places an order, and we pack it in 20 boxes, that customers will recive 20 emails, and not gonna be happy
Yep yep, totally understandable.
Unfortunately, our system automatically generates and sends an email notification for each shipping label created, regardless of whether it’s a single order.
I’ll share your feedback with our developers.
In the meantime, we can consider checking out those apps, though I can’t guarantee a solution.
